Youth Sessions at AERA

On April 29th we took approximately 30 high school students from Los Angeles to present at the annual meeting of the American Educational Research Association. The youth talked about the research they have been conducting over the past two years as members of the Council of Youth Research.     There was a Democratic Education Symposium held this past weekend at Medgar Evers College in Brooklyn. It was the first of its kind and a project that its participants (including myself) hope to make bigger and better.
